The holidays are over, and photographers are looking for ANYTHING  to capture for a good photo.  Being mostly a Nature..landscape..wildlife  photographer, this time of year is difficult at most.  But you give it every effort.  Most everything is the same colors of  brown and grey.
This calls for some extra effort in the editing of the photos you take.  Photoshop and Light Room softwares becomes your best friends.  Trying new edits-techniques–layers–filters–or trying to invent new ideas to turn an average photo to a work of art.  To me,  this is the fun part.  I get to create something new…and if you do it right–no one but me knows!  I post it and wait for  response from my peers!  Â
So now I’m waiting on Spring 2012, when colors begin to return, new wildlife will be born,..days will be longer and temperatures warmer. Â BUT I STILL LOVE FALL THE BEST!
11-11-11, Â We just returned from our annual trip to The Great Smoky Mountains. Â Autumn in the Smokies is a Wonder to behold! Â The Hardwood tress are in every Color you could imagine. Â The evergreens fill the air with their scent.
And in Cade’s Cove, the Wildlife is abundant.  Whitetail Deer are entering their RUT, or the days when mate to continue that they survive.  Wild Turkeys are in the fields, and even the Black Bear can be seen at times.  The 11 mile loop road gives the visitor a special treat with each 20mph, loop. Â
I’ve created a new tab with my photos from this years trip, and I hope you enjoy them.
To sum it all up This time of year is for me the Best time of year! Â The humidity is gone, the heat is down, Â and it just feels good to get outdoors! Â This is when I really enjoy outdoor photography. Â
We usually plan a get-a-way to the Smokys during late October or early November. Â I then take morning trips to Cade’s Cove for the Wildlife shots of the Deer, Bears, and any other Wildlife that I may encounter. Â
Also the fall colors are brilliant, and makes great landscape photos. Â
We try to get a Cabin with a wood burning fireplace as this adds to the experience of getting away and relaxing. Â Plus we make a big pot of soup or chili, and have most meals at the Cabin. Â
I will be placing some of my newest Fall pics on the site in the coming weeks so please check back. Â Also I’ve created a new tab of Radnor Lake. Â Some Fall pics will be there as well.
Also–it gets me PUMPED for the approaching Holidays!

I guess the real answer to that question is “Why Not”?
Since the dawn of man, he has been recording images of what he sees, from the early cave drawings to the digital world.
It’s what we do! , And I Love doing it. I hope you will enjoy my vision and how I interpret that into an edited photograph.
When I’m out with my camera gear,  I look at my surroundings  as if  I’m looking through a small 4 x 6 frame.
I try to capture a moment in time that will mean something, and give pleasure to those that view the end results.
